Blossoming Cooks was created in 2013 by Susan Jarman whilst on maternity leave from her role as a Biology teacher. It is now a part of True Connection NE Community Interest Company, which provides funded and subsidised services across South Tyneside.

Please get in touch if you are interested in booking a Blossoming Cooks session for your organisation or event

We encourage the development of new kitchen skills as independently as possible!

At the end of the session you get to take home your goodies to share (or not!).

The most important thing is to have lots of fun, get stuck in and don’t be afraid of a little mess!

Cooking, crafting and exploring nature is more fun together! At Blossoming Cooks we encourage adults to get stuck in alongside the children, supporting and helping if needed.

Getting outside every class helps to blow off a little steam and get closer to nature. There’s no such thing as bad weather – only inadequate clothing so waterproofs and wellies are essential!

Nature-themed crafts are always available – luckily so are the aprons!

There’s always time to listen to a nature-themed story (especially while munching on a snack!) after the main activities.
